Terry Jensen
CEO

From 1994 to present Terry has been the Owner of Evergreen Landscape and Construction, a company involved in designing and constructing landscapes for acreage's around the Calgary, Alberta area.

Prior to that Terry was and has been employed by GPX Surveys, starting as a Rodman and working up to a Junior Surveyor and finally organizing survey crews in Northeastern BC, Alberta and Saskatchewan.

Previous to 1994, Terry studied in Winnipeg, Manitoba where he completed his Mechanics Diploma, completing his practicum with Kipp Kelly as a Jr. Machinist.

Matthew E. MacLeod
Head Surveyor

Matthew began his career in 1979 with Chevron in their geophysical department. Shortly thereafter, he joined Raymac surveys as a junior surveyor and held that position for four years.

In 1988 Matthew joined GPX Surveys Ltd. as a surveyor and was the first seismic surveyor to lead a crew into the field with GPS technology, in 1992, to setup RTK GPS controlled surveys, DTM surveys and data processing.

From the mid to late 1990's, Matthew worked abroad successfully completing survey programs in Northern Ireland as well as in Mozambique. Since 1999, he has been supervising Seismic Survey programs throughout the United States and Western Canada.

John Mate
Head Surveyor

John Mate began his career in seismic as rodman in October of 1977.

From 1992 to 1995 John worked for Capilano International. In 1992 he worked in Senegal, West Africa, training survey crews for seismic. And in 1995, John went back to Senegal as a company Liason/Party Manager with Capilano, as the lead of the Exploration program.

From 1995 to present, John has been working as sub-contractor advancing seismic programs for various companies. Recently he has been contracted to companies such as Norex Exploration, DRS Seismic Contracting, G.P.X. Surveys, Nortec Geomatics, K.G. Surveys and Tesla Exploration.

Mike Baker B.A.Sc Eng
Head Surveyor

Michael Baker has been working in the seismic and mapping industry for over 30 years. Working as a Surveyor and Consultant, Michael has worked with many companies over those years and has been a integral part of bringing GPS technology to seismic surveying and mapping.

Over the last 15 years Michael has used his expertise to develop new GPS packages, that employ the best features of many current systems. These systems are robust and provide co-ordinates and elevations will within tolerance.

Michael is a member of the Canadian Institute of Mining Metallurgy and is still active with the Canadian Society of Exploration Geophysists. Also, he continues to to break the mould of what ordinary GPS receivers can do, and is finding new ways to use the technology.

Michael has been a part of the GPX Surveys team for the last ... In that time he has been a proven leader and resource to our team.

Wayne Starchuk
GIS Mapper

Wayne Starchuk started his working career after graduating from NAIT in 1988 as an Architectural Technologist. He was a draftsman for a northern Alberta construction company for 5 years before venturing out with his own freelance drafting and design company.

In 1994 Wayne moved to Calgary and started working with GPX Surveys Ltd. After learning the basics of the seismic surveying industry while working on a field crew, he founded the GIS/CAD department in the spring of 1995 and has since produced and coordinated several hundred mapping projects.

He assisted in the development, implementation and testing of barometric/GPS technology and in the development of innovative data collection, data processing, editing, and GPS/CAD translation methodologies.

Wayne has provided GPS/GIS consultation services for GPX Surveys to clients and field crews in both Canada and the United States training personnel in the use of key CAD/GPS hardware and software applications including AutoCAD Land Development Desktop R2, CAD Overlay 2000, Trimble GPS survey equipment, GPSeismic, Pathfinder and custom barometric data collection.

Wayne was responsible for the operations management of the company from the spring of 2001 until the spring of 2005

John Todd
Data Processor

John was a seismic field surveyor for Thomas, Nelson and Raymac Surveys from 1978 to 1988. John recognized the importance of air photos and GIS tools to improve seismic line placement methods. John was a strong portable surveyor who loved working in the mountains.

John worked as a data processor for Canex and Horkoff Surveys from 1988 to 1993, helping develop new processing techniques and QC tools for streamlining 3D seismic surveys.

From 1993 to 2000 John worked as mapping supervisor for Enviro-Tech Surveys, developing state of the art digital mapping for Pan-Canadian Petroleum (Encana) . Utilizing digital topo maps, digital pipeline information and GPS captured culture, 3D survey mapping gave seismic acquisition a powerful new focus.

John Todd has been the geomatics supervisor for GPX Surveys since 2000. He acquires and formats all required data so the field surveyors, line clearing crews, seismic drillers etc. can begin working as soon as they reach the program.

John sends the final survey package to the survey audit company in a complete and timely fashion so the final seismic data is delivered to the energy company on time. Finally, compiles all final plan material from the field crews and sends the field measurements to the front end company for government submission.
